Objective

To improve ethical conduct of Public Leaders

Functions

  • (i)To carry out civic education of Public Leaders and public at large on the Public Leadership Code of Ethics Act;
  • (ii)To carry out research and study on status of ethical behavior among Public Leaders and advise accordingly;
  • (iii)To coordinating implementation of Integrity Pledge to public and private sectors;
  • (iv)To management of conflict of interest among Public Leaders;
  • (v)To involve stakeholders in promotion and monitoring of leadership ethics (school, colleges and non state actors);
  • (vi)To update database related to Public Leaders and other related information;
  • (vii)To development of preventive measures and guideline for Public Leaders; and
  • (viii)To undertake risk analysis on Public Leaders conduct.

This Division is led by a Secretary and will comprise two (2) Sections as follows:-

  • (i)Research and Records Analysis Section; and
  • (ii)Ethics Promotion Section.

Research and Records Analysis Section

This Section performs the following activated:-

  • (i)Carry out research and study on status of ethical behavior among Public Leaders and advise accordingly;
  • (ii)Update database related to Public leaders and other related information;
  • (iii)Propose preventive measures and guidelines for Public Leaders; and
  • (iv)Undertake risk analysis on he conduct of Public Leaders.

This Section is led by an Assistant Secretary.

Ethics Promotion Section

This Section performs the following activities:-

  • (i)Prepare Public Leaders ethics promotion programmes;
  • (ii)Carry out civic education of Public Leaders and public at large on the Public Leadership Code of Ethics Act;
  • (iii)Coordinating implementation of Integrity Pledge to public and private sectors; and
  • (iv)Management of conflict of interest among Public Leaders.

This Section is led by an Assistant Secretary.
